This smash-hit Broadway production and prequel story to Peter Pan will finally make its way from Broadway to Capitol Theatre, Sydney from January 31 2025. Staged by Dead Puppet Society and targeted to students aged 8+, this untold story of 'Neverland' will treat students to a high-level visual spectacle.
Students and teachers will see familiar characters that they know and love – delving into the backstories of Peter Pan, the Darling family, Tinker Bell and the hilarious ‘Black Stache’ before he became Captain Hook. The brilliant comedic script and physical storytelling takes students into the world of magic realism and visual theatre, and Dead Puppet Society’s extraordinary and lavish production design is an excellent pathway into deeply investigating the elements of drama and the creative roles of theatre.
Peter and the Starcatcher adds value to the Drama classroom but also has wider appeal and is a great activity for larger groups (year level or school wide). This is an inclusive, fun experience, and an awesome Term 1 outing that students will remember forever.
Alongside the live performance and to enhance your experience, Dead Puppet Society is offering a range of education and engagement activities. For further information about these workshops email
