VRC National Jockeys Trust Race Day

In perfect partnership with the horses they ride, the jockey directs the action on course as they bring every race to thrilling life with skill, risk and commitment. It’s a career driven of great passion and heart. The day is an enjoyable way to raise awareness and funds for the National Jockeys Trust (NJT), which works to help support jockeys that are unable to race and their families. The racing highlight of the day is the Listed Hilton Nicholas Straight Six, an open sprint held under handicap conditions down Flemington’s famous straight. The Winter Series Heats continue at Flemington, ahead of Flemington Finals Race Day, 2 July.
